Uzbekistan to allocate 19 trillion soums for modernization of heat supply systems
Over the course of five years, 19 trillion soums will be allocated for the restoration and modernization of heat supply systems in Uzbekistan. This was discussed at a video conference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The corresponding decree of the head of state created a single company "Issiqlik Taminoti", which included 23 organizations engaged in heat supply in the regions.
Over the next five years, 19 trillion soums will be allocated for the restoration and modernization of heat supply systems. As a result, the level of coverage by centralized heat supply will increase from 37% to 58%, the report says.
The Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services has been instructed to develop a program to improve the energy efficiency of apartment buildings and social institutions.
It was noted that 9 thousand residential buildings and social facilities will be transferred to a closed heating system. This will reduce heat loss by half and reduce gas consumption by 20%.
