Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. On October 13, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a presentation on the digitalization of water management, improving water resource management at the grassroots level and attracting the private sector to the industry.
The head of state noted that today the country has more than 50 thousand kilometers of irrigation networks, 1.6 thousand pumping stations and over 10 thousand hydraulic structures. In recent years, the government has been consistently modernizing irrigation infrastructure and increasing water use efficiency. At the same time, problems remain at the grassroots level related to network maintenance, transparency of payments and financial sustainability of water management organizations.
During the presentation, the President reviewed measures to accelerate digitalization and improve industry management.
The Suv hisobi information platform will allow you to accurately calculate the volume of water consumed and send the data to consumers electronically. The new system will reduce the influence of the human factor, eliminate unnecessary paper reporting and increase the efficiency of resource use.
To ensure data accuracy, the platform is integrated with the Digital Agriculture system, where information about irrigated lands, crops and water limits will be updated automatically.
