Plans for the modernization of heat supply in Uzbekistan for 2025:

  • Expansion of the Talimarjan Thermal Power Plant. In the fourth quarter of 2025, the construction of two additional gas turbine units with a total capacity of no less than 900 MW is planned.
  • Construction of the third gas turbine unit at the Navoi Thermal Power Plant. The capacity of the unit is 600 MW of electrical energy and 200 GCal of thermal energy. The commissioning deadline is the third quarter of 2026.
  • Implementation of cogeneration projects in six mahallas of Tashkent, located at the last points of heat supply.

Additionally, in 2025, the possibility of a twofold increase in tariffs for heating and hot water is being considered. The anticipated amount of each increase is 15%, which could result in a total increase of 30% in the cost of heating services for the population.
