Tourism, water supply and electricity. What projects Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed in Dubai

At the end of his working visit to Dubai, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a number of meetings with the heads of large Emirati companies - Amea Power, SWS, Air Products and Tadweer. Among the issues discussed are investment projects in the field of tourism, water supply, water treatment and electricity, a Podrobno.uz correspondent reports with reference to the press service of the head of state.

Thus, at a meeting with the chairman of Amea Power, Hussein Al-Novais, the President of Uzbekistan discussed the prospects for implementing joint investment projects in the development of green energy and tourism infrastructure in our country.

At a meeting with the chief executive officer of SWS, Ahmed Al-Shamsi, projects in the field of water supply and water treatment in the regions of Uzbekistan were discussed, including with the involvement of international partners - the French company SUEZ and the Japanese Marubeni.

In addition, the head of Uzbekistan discussed current and future projects with the Chairman of the Board of Air Products, Seifi Ghasemi. At the meeting, a presentation was made on the progress of ongoing projects, and new initiatives were proposed, including in high-tech industries.

At the end of the business program, Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the head of Tadweer Ali al-Dhaheri. The Emirati company proposed projects for the production of electricity in Uzbekistan based on the introduction of advanced technological solutions.

The working visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Dubai ended with a meeting with the head of the UAE, Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The meeting from the Emirati side was also attended by Vice President Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Seif Al Nahyan, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies, President of the COP28 summit Sultan Ahmed Al-Nahyan Jaber.

The head of our state congratulated the leader and friendly people of the UAE on the national day, as well as on the successful organization of the global summit on climate change.

As part of the discussion of the bilateral agenda, the parties expressed their satisfaction with the dynamic development of multilateral Uzbek-UAE relations. It was noted that since the beginning of the year, trade turnover has increased by 30%, the number of joint ventures and the frequency of direct flights are increasing. The portfolio of joint projects with the participation of leading companies from the two countries amounted to four billion dollars.

The meeting participants agreed to continue active dialogue and practical cooperation, and also expressed interest in bringing it to the level of a full-scale strategic partnership.
