It is planned to launch almost 1 GW of alternative energy capacity
The President ordered to update heating systems and reduce electricity losses during transmission. On August 27, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting dedicated to energy conservation and the introduction of alternative energy. This was reported by the presidential press service.
The meeting reviewed the results of a study conducted by the Fergana Polytechnic Institute. Scientists have found that 5 million kWh, or 1.5 times more than the natural loss rate, is lost annually at one Logon substation.
By evenly distributing the load between 113 transformer points, it is possible to prevent the loss of 765 thousand kWh of energy, experts noted. Another 1.1 million kWh can be compensated by installing reactive power batteries on transformers near water pumping stations.
The total energy losses in one Fergana region are estimated at 15.5 million kWh or 6 billion soums. It was instructed to take measures to implement the proposals not only here, but also in other regions.
Karakalpakstan's experience in saving gas was also discussed. The installation of efficient gas burners and insulation of the heating system for 95 thousand families saved 145 million cubic meters of gas, and after work in another 16 thousand houses, 20 million cubic meters will be added to this.
The head of state instructed to update the heating systems of 1 million households. He also called for special attention to be paid to large gas consumers, noting that only 25% of them have implemented energy-saving solutions.
In addition, the president noted the work on the introduction of renewable energy sources at enterprises. The task was set to provide the water management system with "green" energy - primarily solar - by at least a quarter by 2027.
By the end of the year, it is planned to install alternative energy sources of 182 MW for the population and 791 MW for businesses. The president issued a stern warning to officials for delays in certain areas.
Earlier, Spot wrote that Uzenergoinspektsiya would be transferred from the Ministry of Energy to the Cabinet of Ministers.
